Re: Indianapolis Moto GP in 2008 ?

That's getting interesting...

The venue is nowhere as interesting as Laguna, but it would be awesome anyway.

I wouldn't get my hopes up too far though, last time they discussed this, it fell through pretty quickly.

I'll speculate this will die on the vine again...there's no way the Speedway can break even financially with something as small as a MotoGP race...

I'd still rather see another US GP event at Barber (Miller also but its kind of close to Laguna).

I remember in 03 they had a few racers from the AMA out there on the F1 cource testing the waters out there and it was big talks on AMA comming to the Brickyard and it never happened. Maybe this time Tony George will open his wallet to Dorna and make it happen.

We went up to play golf that week just to watch a bike scream around the track...
Zemke was one of the lucky bastages...

Re: Indianapolis Moto GP in 2008 ?

If itdid happen at Indy it would be feasible for me to get down there as according to mapquest it's only a 12 hour drive. So the distance is feasible, money is the real issue though. Anybody wanna send a poor Canadian kid some cash to get him to the race?

For 10 years I lived 45 minutes away from there... Use to go every year to watch Indy 500 but Moto GP would be a major turn on for me.... only 3 1/2 hours away (well 4 hours but I have my ways. )
