stop the hateration, you bikeless wonder!!! * I will always have the 'upper leg' on you! now, stop thread-jacking!!!
Now, back to the subject at hand, before we were so rudely interrupted by a certain inconsiderate a-hole, I think he's going to sign with No Limit Motorsports and run the 600rr in the new supersport class in AMA next year! |

I don't think honda will let him go... *But if the rumors are true that Ducati offered him 10M euro, he might already be gone... |

seriously though, I think he is already gone....I think if Honda was going to sign him, chances are, they probably would have already....It wouldn't be a shock to me to see him on a Duc next year, although it can't be the factory team...Bayliss and Capirossi are set there....maybe he looks for a bigger challenge and takes a ride on the 2nd Ducati team along side Neil Hodgson but the more interesting question is: who takes Rossi's place? Sete just re-upped with Telefonica for another 2 years, so he is not an option...does Nicky get the #1 seat? Maybe Honda wants a Japanese rider? Tamada maybe? yep, the silly season is definitely near... |

| Re: Let The Speculation Begin The last time Rossi negotiated contract (2 years ago), it was much of the same thing. They argued back and forth for a while. Rossi refused to run the #1 plate and insisted on running #46. Rossi also made Honda match his yearly salary with a donation to charity in the same amount, I think it was cancer research or something. In other words, this is nothing new and doesn't suprise me, Honda is a very controlling company and can be very difficult to work for, just ask CEII. |

| Exactly Booth. *Honda owns it's riders and doesn't take to kindly to riders telling them where to put money. *In this case though Honda needs Rossi more than he needs them. *He is the rider I have seen that Honda literally bend over backwards for. *They know if he's on a Ducati next year, than he can win just as easily. *
Ducati doesn't have Honda money, but Rossi as with all Italians want to be on an Italian bike.
I think he signs another two year deal with Honda, but thats it. *Ducati will develop the bike and when Rossi is ready, the other big red will gladly take him.
*edit cause I can't spell |

| Yep...
Last time, rossi really had no where competitive to go... Now, honda has some challengers, so lets face it, they'll have to ante up!
And as crash said, they need him more than he needs them now. Ahhhh, the thrill of competition, thanks to ducati, there is some... |

| Re: Let The Speculation Begin I don't think Honda will let money take him away. If he leaves it will be a personal thing and not because they won't pay him what he wants. When you figure Honda spent 17million on racing in the rc30's last year running, i can't see them nickeling and dimeing if they feel he is what it takes to stay on top. |
