| Nicky Hayden Not much mention on here of Nicky Hayden since the season started....
Poor start to a title defence but I thought more people would be talking about him, or are Hayden fans waiting to see if he does well during the season before coming out of the woodwork?? |

| Re: Nicky Hayden yeah, i'm not sure what his issue has been. he was riding a working "prototype" for this years 800cc. you would think he would be even better with a more polished design. i'm not sure what is going on. i'll get to cheer him and rossi on at laguna. i hope stoner doesn't win anymore or he may run away with it. |

I would have loved to have seen him on a Ducati.
Can't see him doing F1, doing a few test laps is a thousand times different to a real F1 race. Rally might suit him though. |

| Re: Nicky Hayden Well, first of all, the Honda is way underpowered. Especially compared to the Ducati...Nicky should have signed with Ducati last year.
Second of all, Rossi isn't likely going F1...Rally instead is the most likely thing at this point....hence the Fiat sponsorship...VR and a higher up at Fiat are "buddies" from what my sources say. |

| Re: Nicky Hayden Hmm, the Honda's may be underpowered at this point, but somehow Pedrosa and Melandri both seem to be coping at a competitive level. Also, we can't forget how Rosi somehow managed to be extremely competitive on the Yam his first season with them, and he publicly admitted that it was drastically under powered. There apparently is more to the equation than just HP. |

| Re: Nicky Hayden Yep you guys didn't mention tires, Michelin's are sucking bad this season since the tire regulation change. Just like Nicky was saying last year front end chatter was a problem and now the rest of the 800cc riders are saying the same thing. Basically Honda dropped the ball. Sure Nicky’s luck ran out, he hasn’t been very competitive, but at least he’s not out complaining like a little girl. For Nicky, this season has been the perfect storm. |

| Re: Nicky Hayden It was all said in this thread. Read my respose at post #30.
They pretty much shoved Nicky to the curb with the new 800cc rule. Hayden going to Ducati next season?

Rossi was up tp 15kph slower than the Duke on the straight but way quicker in the twisty stuff. A masterclass from VR.
Haydens season is over already...shame. |

| Re: Nicky Hayden I thought it was interesting that one of the announcers commented on Pedrosa durring the race "[Pedrosa]...the young 250cc Champion which Honda rests all their hopes for the future...". I'm not sure I would appreciate that comment if I were Nicky. |

I think he's p1ssed off enough already but he is not moaning, and thats to to his credit. Must be frustrating all the same....to see you title defence going down the pan.
Rumours abound of a Schwantz Suzook team in MGP.... |

Cuz Pod-bot and Melandri are better suited to ride the 800's than Hayden.
And Rossi is Rossi...he could probably win on anything. |
