Mid Ohio AMA Racing

Anyone going up to Mid Ohio for the races this weekend? I just had a buddy call me out of the blue with free tickets for the entire weekend. I'm there! This will be the first time my wife has ever went to a motorcycle race like this. She's asked me three times if I think Nicky or Rossi will win...she tries.

The girlfriend and myself as well as my brother will be there fri - sun. There's a stunt show in mansfield friday night 3pm-1am $5 to get in, we're going to that also.

Whelp, drove three hours today to get to the event, walked around in the rain for four hours before they called the event on account of the rain, then drove three hours home. Bummer...

Got a nice t-shirt, had a good meal and my wife (who went with me) came away remembering at least five of the SBK riders names. She's on her way; the next thing you know, she'll be complaining about the AMA.

They finally ran the superbike race if you would've stuck around for 7 hours after the scheduled start... they cancelled the superstock and supersport though... major bummer all around, i heard if you call mid ohio and complain they may be willing to give credit for tickets to next years event <per conversation overheard outside the guest services building> even though the tickets have no refund printed on them...

Ah, when we got home and watched day 1 race on tv, day two announced that the race would be run on Tuesday and they were handing out tickets for Tuesday's event as we were leaving. They got it in after all, hmmm...

Went to the races also....Sat. was great, spent all day there with my 12 yr old son,first time he got to ride that far on the bike.Woke up the next morning at the hotel...we were bummin because it was raining,but got our gear and were ready to head to the track....walked out to an empty parking spot! Bastards had stolen the bike.....THAT....was a bummer
