Valentino Rossi is making the news for reasons other than his riding. It has been reported that Rossi has been investigated for undeclared revenues of 60 million euros between 2000 and 2004 and as a result has owes the Italian taxation authorities in excess of 100 million euros. Even with his earning capacity that has to hurt and might just be a factor in his recent form on the track.

I think this broke about a month ago. Certainly was well before the last race.

Now I presume this has been going on for a while even if it only became public recently. It might have something to do with his form, I guess any distraction can hurt.
