Baketech : Did Melandri break a leg?
| The announcers said that, but Melandri was up and walking immediately after the crash. Looked more like he broke his right wrist or something the way he was holding it. Melandri broke his leg at the beginning of the season so maybe they just got their words mixed.

ULEWZ : Sounds like a ding-dong of a time (gotta love those Brit announcers).
| My favorite quote from the British WSBK announcers this year, when a rider miraculously rode through a multi-bike crash without being touched....'He's the luckiest man since Ringo !' |

| Re: Phillip Island GP Aussie time! The whole weekend was great. *Even though the weather was crap and our Troy fell badly, we had a great time. *Can't wait for next year. Melandri fell right in front of us. He was limping quite badly when he got up and looked a bit dazed. |

| Re: Phillip Island GP Aussie time! That slide was worth all the rain and crap we put up with earlier in the day. The control he has over a motorcycle is phenomenal. |

| Re: Phillip Island GP Aussie time! although we missed that slide as we were sitting at turn 12, on friday after practice he came out of turn 11 in a big slide and it was awesome to watch.
We hung around the pits for 3 hours to try get a signature from him, but he would not show, but I got to shake haydens and caparossi hands and got autographs from them as well as Okada |

| Try spending 6 hours waiting for Micks sig at a bike shop opening, then being told you were not there early enough and got sent a post card with a photocopied signature instead

| Re: Phillip Island GP Aussie time! One of the girls that was with our group, her brother was part of the seahawke display with the navy, any way they were camped just out of cowes at the local scout hall and their copters are parked on th footy oval.
We were at the pub in san remo having a counter meal, when she gets a phone call from her brother saying mick was there right now and about to take off in his helicopter so get there right now, anyway after a quick dash we get there and mick is trying to get into the helicopter, we got to met him but he would not sign anything for us, but that probably has something to do with the drunken attitude of my mates, allmost crying going 'we love you Mick' I was hoping to get him to sign my Honda top i just got for my birthday, I was a little disappointed, but I guess he cops this #### every where he goes. |

Repsol_69 : [snip]Wayne went to the Kings for a challenge,[/snip]
| Hmm, that's hard to say. He went b/c his wife was an LA actress, and let's face it, it's a better living climate (weather wise) than Edmonton.
I don't know if he went for the challenge per se. Plus, after 4 yrs, the Oilers pretty much disbanded to rebuild, no? |
