Phillip Island MotoGP Results

1.Casey Stoner
2.Loris Caparosi
3.Valentino Rossi
4.Danny Pedrosa

Stoner lead from start to finish, never looked like losing the race. Hayden had mechanical problems and was forced to pull out, he was right on the pace at the for the first few laps. Ducati 1st & 2nd gives them the constructors championship.

Was there and saw the race, there was no competition for first place at all. Stoner dominated and his lead increased throughout the race, I think it was 8 seconds in the final lap. We all cheered as Capirossi took 2nd place in a nice maneuver.

Great race, great to be there, Stoner has become an Aussie icon. He will popularize motorcycle racing and motorcycles in general here.

And if you saw it on tv you might think the weather was sunny and warm.
Well for most of the weekend it was cold, windy and occasionally wet. Only on Sunday did it become sunny (and still a bit cool)

Great to see Casey win for the local fans. Pity the racing wasnt a bit closer.

The 250s was a great race for 2nd!

Great to see Stoner win it at the island, was very windy but at least rain held off,i did expect Stoner to be a little more enthusiastic about winning his home race, seems like he is still very pissed about all the talk about him winning because "he has the best bike".So would anybody, but.
Think hes looking to next season when he can hopefully back it up with another championship win.He shouldve done a Toseland and chucked his leathers over the fence! or his helmet.Time will tell.

No photos - got a crap camera and didnt push to get into any of the cool positions.
The one good photo I could have gotten I would have missed anyway. I was walking along when the guy in front of me stepped sidewards and I had a scooter coming straight at me. I jump to the side to find Casey sitting on the back, getting a ride back after his off in practice.

Casey Stoner on the back of a scooter would have been a pretty cool shot!

Re: Phillip Island MotoGP Results

The back of scooter is a pretty common site. There is always a few offs in practice so you will see them being doubled on the back of a scooter as they head back to the pits.
