How to make yourself unpopular at the track

I've never seen this before, I guess these two are not sending each other christmas cards these days. The overhead shot shows it up to look the worst I think...

No big deal. He got overly aggressive on the last turn and Rossi put him in the gravel for it. Just racing

...and he took the race too.

Its true its just racing, just would have been funny two fully grown men in bike suits punching each others helmets thinking it would hurt them

Re: How to make yourself unpopular at the track

If I remember correctly that was at Jerez in 2005 (1st race), Sete Gibernau home race and that was on the last lap. After the 2004 race at Qatar, Rossi said "Gibernau will not win another race". And Gibernau never won a race again. Rossi's statement never the end of the 2004 season, just added fuel to this incident.

Re: How to make yourself unpopular at the track

A very infamous move.
While Im a Rossi fan this was a case of him just running the other guy off the track. Its fine to take the inside and do a blocking move - but not when you block right to the edge of the track.
There was a lot of bad blood between them before this happened - I think if it had been another rider Rossi wouldnt have done that same move.

Still not the worst Ive seen - I remember a final race of the season where the 2 championship contenders came together late in the race - might have even been last lap. Anyway the guy who lead the championship was behind the other guy and just didnt brake for a corner - was never going to make it but crashed and took the other guy out! That was terrible.

Wasnt that WSBK? I just saw it recently too. My buddy had it Tivoed or something and he just kept telling me to keep watching until the last lap.
