Casey Stoner's season came to an end today with a huge crash!

"Stoner made it through the 2007 season without a major incident, but fate caught up with him today as the young Australian injured ligaments in his shoulder. With the championship title in hand, there's no reason for the Marlboro Ducati ace to ride in tomorrow's final day of testing. There is a silver lining to the timing of his injury. After tomorrow, the two-month ban on testing goes into effect, so he'll have plenty of time to mend before having to ride at championship-winning levels again."

It also was an encouraging day for Honda. Six out of seven of the best times from today were posted by Honda racers. Go Honda...
Pedrosa was blazing up the track on his blade.. The Spanish rider rode his Michelin-shod RC212V to a 1'39.993 lap late in the session and posted the fastest time so far after two days of testing.

Stoner does have a bit of a reputaion for having big crashes, this year he seems to have timed it perfectly. He will be back to defend the title next year and I hope he does not run away with it like he did this year. Great racing is what we want to see.

I really think that its going to be alot closer next year.. It seemed like Stoner had such a better bike and set-up that everyone else just couldn't hang...

I think the races this year will be a lot more competitive, the manufacturers will definately try to up the ante especially Michelin who has a pretty embarressing year. Should make for some good viewing
