| Re: Valentino Rossi needs to pay taxes..... You think it was him or an accountant to blame? I would say that a professional rider, such as him, doesn't have time to be the ace of the tax code and he has people working for him that take care of that. Someone working for him gave him real bad advice.
Also it's 20 million Euros, at least what I read, not 35. autosport.com - MotoGP News: Rossi reaches settlement in tax probe |

| Re: Valentino Rossi needs to pay taxes..... Last time I check, my accountant told me that I was responsible for my own taxes. Even if he was the one preparing them. One year the IRS came calling because I didn't report my unemployment insurance money. I was stunned that my accountant didn't add that as I didn't know it was taxable, and he didn't tell me. Of course I forgot to mention it to him (because I didn't know). I figured he was responsible because he garrantied his work. After I got off the phone with him, I promply sent a personal check to the IRS.
NO! It ain't the accountants fault!

| Re: Valentino Rossi needs to pay taxes..... Sure it comes to down to his responsibility but I don't think there is anything to get angry about!
With as much as he makes (more than any of us) you have to have people working for you, especially an accountant. |

| Re: Valentino Rossi needs to pay taxes..... I'm just angry about the whole, "We garranty our returns." But in reality, they don't garranty chit!
And this was over two decades ago!
