| Re: 2008 Indianapolis MotoGP results I was at the race and had a great time in spite of the rains brought by hurricane Ike. Nicky fought hard to end up with a second. Ben Spies held in there, too. Winds of over 60mph caused them to stop the race and cancel the 250 race. Several people were hurt by flying debris...

| Re: 2008 Indianapolis MotoGP results Seemed a smart move to red flag it, just wish they would change the rules so a race red flagged after the 75% mark was automatically called over.
Its silly to have to wait 10 minutes for someone to decide to not restart.
Who wants to see a 5 or 6 lap race anyway?
Or like today - have to wait to celebrate till someone makes a decision.
If you call it and its past the laps for a complete race, then just make it be over!
Well done to Rossi - great ride in the wet, he was pushing it (and making a few small mistakes and one almost big one!)
Good to see Hayden back at the pointy end, but he was lucky they flagged it as he was going to be gobbled by chuppa-chub. Nice for him to get a podium on whats got to be far more of a home track than Laguna Seca.
And the championship is pretty much decided. Unless Rossi has some serious trouble and doesnt finish a couple of races there is no way either Stoner or Pedrosa will catch him (and neither deserves it - Rossi has been the best this year) |

| Re: 2008 Indianapolis MotoGP results Great race and exciting to watch since they were riding in such conditions and managed to stay upright. Found it strange why Hayden started to slow down and Lorenzo almost got to pass him if it were not for the race being stopped. Bike or tire problem? Hayden was doing so well until Rossi passed him, then his pace slowed or maybe Lorenzo became faster? I just found it puzzling since Hayden is a undoubtedly great rider Nonetheless, great finish by the top 3 guys and they deserve it with all of that rain and wind! |

| Re: 2008 Indianapolis MotoGP results Saw it over in England... Instead of it being live at 6.45 they moved it to 10.45PM (But I saw it on the Interactive channel )
The race seemed hectic... Its a shame the weather acted like it did.

| Re: 2008 Indianapolis MotoGP results I was in nascar turn 3 and had just came down from the upper upper upper seating, and about 100 ft from me one of the upper upper upper benches blew off and landed into a mostly bare seating area, one guy was escorted out while holding his hand and bleeding... it was probably 30ft drop from where the bench left and hit |

| Re: 2008 Indianapolis MotoGP results More than 91,000 on Sunday for a race on a rainy day... that's an impressive turn out. It sounded like there was a huge marketing effort all over the city never seen in the US for a motorcycle road race. Way to go! |

| Re: 2008 Indianapolis MotoGP results I watched practice and qualifying on Friday and Saturday from the northwest vista. It gave a good view of the last 4 turns and also down the start/finish strait. Saturdays weather was perfect but Sunday was miserable and I watched the race from midway on the front strait due to the covered seating in that area. Hayden said the reason for slowing toward the end of the race was that he burnt up his tread trying to pull a gap early and when the heavy rain came back he had no traction. I camped in lot 2 and had a blast. I will be back next year for sure. |
