| Single Tire in 2009 for MotoGP. Who will it be? Despite Bridgestone tires were giving clear advantage to many riders in MotoGP this season, the disparity of tires will no longer be an advantage nor a disadvantage next year. MotoGP is going 'single tire' series, like the F1 and the World SBK. Bridgestone supplies the F1, and Pirelli does the World SBK. Who will it be for the premier motorcycle racing series? |

| Re: Single Tire in 2009 for MotoGP. Who will it be? I think Bridgestone will get the nod.
The difference between them and Micheline isnt that much - ok enough to make a difference in a championship, but not that much that it would be a joke to French.
It may depend on the $ and deals.
But I think the image of them being the top tyre and the top teams running Bridgestone should be enough to give them the edge. Riders like Rossi and Stoner (and I presume now Pedrosa) would definitely prefer to keep the same tyre and not have to start over again on developing their setups. |

What about Dunlop, Metzler, etc..?? |

| Re: Single Tire in 2009 for MotoGP. Who will it be? ^^not a chance.. if they aren't being used by a majority of riders they won't even have a chance at making it.. i don't really care which tire they use, i'm just glad that pedro won't have any more excuses about not being used to his tires because his whiny A$$ wanted to switch in the middle of the season. |

| Re: Single Tire in 2009 for MotoGP. Who will it be? the only company to put in a bid was bridgestone. michelin didn't even bother, but they have always said (in f1 and wsb) that if it's a single tyre rule they would not be interested. |
