| FASTER I got to see Faster tonight at the Cycle show. It was freaking awesome, but it was $15 to see it. They said the DVD should be out in 3-4 months and be around $25. There is lots of Rossi interviews in it, as well as his father. Also Wayne Rainey, Schwantz, Doohan, and Kenny Sr. They spent some considerable time on the Rossi vs. Biaatchi thing during the '01 season. And they actually spent a lot of time on Hopkins coverage. Rossi said that Hopkins will be a great rider, Doohan as well. They both talked like he would be a major contender in the future. Rossi said he was amazed how well Hopkins was doing with the 2 stroke since the 500 was very difficult to learn. He did pretty well on the 2 stroke his first year, shame he has been on a POS since he started in GP. The movie talked about how Schwantz was discovered by Ulrich, and Ulrich said Hopkins was just as good etc. It was nice to see the kid get some coverage. The movie is long, I was expecting just over an hour, it ended up being an hour and forty five minutes. They also spent a lot of time on McCoy and his injuries. If you get a chance to see it, it was worth the wait. |

| Re: FASTER One more thing I forgot. The coolest thing in the film to me was Costa. The Clinique Mobile Doctor that sees any and all racers after an injury (onsite DR. in other words). He was cool as ****. He hooked up heart rate monitors to Rossi and Biaatchi during one race to record. Biaatchi's heart rate was fast the whole time, like 170-180. Rossi's, a stone cold 130. Says a lot. |

Hmmmmm, a couple days after my birthday a screening in an actual theater nearby.
Maybe they'll even have early copies of the DVD to sell me. |

To get off the subject a bit, the fastest I ever saw my heart rate on a heart-rate monitor while mountain biking was 184 a couple of years ago. And I was climbing the longest, steepest hill of my life . I suppose there would be a difference between purely adrenaline induced and physically induced heart rates . |

| Re: FASTER I was actually trying to see how high I could get my heart rate on an exercise bike at the gym, I got it to 199 but it wouldnt go over 200 (must be some sort of internal rev limiter thingy ) I had it on 199 for a little while and when I got off I felt like I was gonna die! |

Hey dude, I told ya finding a good pit-tootsie up here would not be too tough. Besides, there are only about 30 native Washintonions up here so there's ALWAYS that *hey, where are you from* opener to get things rolling.
Ping me if you guys wanna hookup for some riding or just getting totalled. |

It was one BRUTAL 3 mile 2000 ft. climb. Temps ranged from 100+ degrees to snow on the trail. Man you KNOW you are alive when doing that!!
One evening I accidentaly over-medicated on some athsma meds and ended up peaking at 240 bmp while in the ER. I was in sinus rythem.. doctors were just in shock and hoving around ready to aply the paddles but I hung in there for about an hour before the medication started to wear off. Man.. now that DID NOT feel good. I think if I did not do so much mountain biking them I would have croaked!
130 bmp. man.. these days I'm lucky if it drops that low while I've got my fat-az parked on the sofa... |
