Not a big fan of his, but he seems to look good in the lap times posted.

| Re: 2009 WSBK testing I'm not sure who I'm pulling for this year. Always been a Haga fan but don't care for Ducati. I would expect Aprilia to be competitive as they already run bikes in 125 & 250 GP. Not the same in terms of engine performance but they have a lot of expirence compared to BMW. I can't wait for the season to get underway. Have fun at the Island. |

| Re: 2009 WSBK testing It would be good to see Haga to take the championship. I am a long time Haga fan, but have seen him take the runner-up too many times. Hopefully he'll kick some butt on that Ducati. I never cared too much about Spies, but he's got my interest this season in the WBSK. It'll be good to see him do well.
I doubt BMW's will do well. It's their first try with a brand new bike. |

| Re: 2009 WSBK testing Anybody see Troy Bayliss' comment on who he thought the battle was going to be between this season? He said Haga and Spies and I think he's correct but there should be a couple of others at the front too. |

| Re: 2009 WSBK testing Yeah I did see Troy's comment..crazy for a racer like him to notice a rookie in WSBK like spies. Haga is well over due for a title. Good luck to both!!! |

| Re: 2009 WSBK testing I wouldn't say crazy for Bayliss to notice a rookie. Whether he is liked or not, Ben Spies is a very talented kid. Bayliss knows, like everyone else, Ben can ride! He will do well this year. The way I see it, the last 3 yrs that he has competed bar to bar with Mladin, has prepared him well for World Superbike, both mentally and in terms of race strategy. During any of the last 3 yrs, Mladin would have been competitive in World Superbike, and Ben has been right there with him, taking the championship all 3 of those years.
Those two have been clearly head and shoulders above all other riders in the AMA over the last few years. The only thing that will be new to Ben are the tracks, and the fact that there may be several riders battling up front. Ben is far more mature than his age would indicate. Provided he doesn't have any major issues with the bike, and avoids any serious injuries, he will do very well this year!
And the Ten Kate Honda boys will be up there as well |

| Re: 2009 WSBK testing Ok time to stand up for the Brit's here. Shane (shakey) Byrne is sitting at the top of the list for a reason, he's good and on a Ducati he's better and he's also the BSB champion with a couple of years experience of Moto gp under his belt this campaign won't faze him. A realistic contender
Tom Sykes, for those of you who have not seen this lad race your in for a treat at 4th on the list he is also no slouch but what i like most about this lad is that he has one of the best job's in the world and he know's it ! He simply dose not stop smiling ! Trust me by the end of the season you'll love him
Ok i know he's not a Brit but Ben Spies. No denying he's an exiting racer and i'm looking forward to seeing how he dose on the world stage, this championship needs good American racers and in Ben we have one of the best
All in all i think we have a great season ahead of us and i for one can't wait

| Re: 2009 WSBK testing Spies seems to be living up to the hype. Good to see an American with a chance of winning a world championship this year, cause it sure ain't gonna happen in MotoGP. I would like to see Haga take it on anything but a Ducati. |

| Re: 2009 WSBK testing I think Haga will win this year granted he doesn't get hurt, it is his time, he has waited too long for this, he deserves it, a real do or die rider. One question Why such Ducati hatred exit90? |

| Re: 2009 WSBK testing Not hatred, I just don't think the 200cc displacement advantage is fair. That and remembering what WSBK was a few years ago, AKA "Ducati Cup". Did anyone else even run bikes back then? To be fair, their latest crop of bikes are pretty impressive. |
