Moto GP Sepang Test

Noticed that Nicky Hayden was approximately two seconds slower then Casey Stoner in testing today. I know that he hasn't had a lot of dry weather running on the bike, but two seconds is a lot of time. Dovizioso is looking good.

Re: Moto GP Sepang Test

Capirossi had a flyer, Stoner fast as possible, Rossi being steady, and like you say Dovi looking good. Is Hayden going to have a nightmare 1st season with the Duke????
Getting excited about it already, going to be a class season(we hope)

Interesting tho, although Stoner was second quickest,he still cant do more than 5 laps at a time.Looks like the wrist is going to be a factor for him.Nice to see Vermuelen going quick(i'm biased).
You would suspect this might be a make or break season for Nicky.

I would say that 2009 is most certainly a make or break year for Hayden.

He decided not to participate in the last day of the test because his knee was bothering him. He had surgery on it after a crash at Phillip Island.

Re: Moto GP Sepang Test

I had hoped to see Hayden doing better than this on the DUC. I bet Hopkins feels like an ass now that he has no ride and the Suzuki is finaly competetive.

Re: Moto GP Sepang Test

Suzuki at the pointy end - cool!

Still seems that Stoner is the only person capable of riding the Ducati fast.
Had a few other people on the bike now over 2 seasons and now this practive and they never get near his times. Hopefully Hayden can get up to speed, but it looks like he might end up being the front runner of the rest of the Ducatis.
So what is it - even as a Stoner fan I cant believe its just that he is that much better. It has to be some sort of "fit" - in that the bike suits him but not others.

Anyway - here is hoping his wrist is good or this season might be boring. I love watching Rossi - but it is always best to watch him race others, not just do laps at the front.
