| Where will Spies be next year? *watch for spoilers* Do you think he will remain in WSBK, or is he going to Moto GP? Is he staying with Yamaha, maybe at Tech 3? I think there is a good chance that he'll be in Moto GP for 2010. Perhaps to replace Toseland...? |

| Re: Where will Spies be next year? *watch for spoilers* I would have thought it would depend on whether or not he wins WSB this year, as I dont think he would want to move on to Moto GP without at least winning WSB first, ( especially as he is now part of a factory backed team in WSB and to to go to Tech3 in Moto GP which is effectively a satelite team, unless he gets an offer from a full factory team of course. ) Haga has a reasonable lead at the minute but then as we know a couple of DNF's and that can all change, so it will be a case of watch this space. Just my opinion of course.

The only reason that he is not leading the championship now is the reliabilty issues the Yamaha has had. |

| Re: Where will Spies be next year? *watch for spoilers* Does he have what it takes to be a front runner in MotoGP?
Been a while since a WSBK rider has done well in MotoGP...
Struggling to think of too many riders who have come to MotoGP from world superbike and even won a race...
Vermeulen, Bayliss. I guess Doohan, although I think he only made wild card appearances in WSBK and it was in the very early days.
I guess Edwards and Toseland are the other big names but havent had much success.
Still will be interesting to see if he can make it to MotoGP and then if he can cut it with pack. |

| Re: Where will Spies be next year? *watch for spoilers* Spies is just too big to ride a GP bike effectively. However I think he'll be on Tech III's squad next year and Towney will be back in WSBK |

| Re: Where will Spies be next year? *watch for spoilers* There seems to be some talk of Lorenzo moving to Honda next year, I know there is a connection with him and the old Movistar team (all rumors of course)
Any way possibly Spies to take over his spot next to Rossi and Dani and Lorenzo with Honda, include Casey on the Ducati and it would make an interesting year in Moto GP.
I may be wrong but this is what i've heard from one of my Spainish informants. |

So if Lorenzo does go to Honda who takes his spot? Would have to be someone Rossi got on with.
With regards to the Tech 3 team i think one of those riders will be gone at the end of the season as i cannot see James and Colin patching up their differences after the problems earlier in the year.
my guess would be Toseland.

| Re: Where will Spies be next year? *watch for spoilers* Regardless of whether he wins the championship, Ben will be on a "factory" Yamaha M1 in MotoGP, with Tech3.
...and I am guessing that his place will be taken by JT. Then again, Edwards may go to WSBK with Max at Aprilia!
So who knows! Too much up in the air at the moment with a lot of rides up for grabs in 2010!
I am gessing that Lorenzo is holding the keys to the rider market at the moment.

| Re: Where will Spies be next year? *watch for spoilers* Just came here to post that!
Not a huge surprise but nice to see it confirmed and that its next year not 2011.
So Spies for 2 years, Edwards for 1. |
