Stoner in rough shape

Stoner was for medical check ups in the USA and doctors found out why he suffers from constant weakness. Anyone remember how he nearly fell off his Duc during the last couple laps in Assen?

Turns out he has a mild gastritis and his blood level is low.

What do you mean his blood level is low, does he have less than he should or is his cell count astew??

Maybe his body is fed up taking beatings

As you say Twin hope he gets better quickly, want to see him in fighting fitness again soon.

That might be the cause for his gastritis. He still is in pain from his accident and his rips are hurting.

As for the low blood count - the actual amount of blood in his system.

I'm wondering how his actual blood level could be low - Unless his body is not re-producing the blood which is lost say through a donation?!

When I give blood (every four months), thats a pint. Your body replaces the blood enough so you can give another donation four months later.

I'm not sure how he could lose blood any other way (apart from a crash etc)

Yes I know how the body replaces blood so we can only pressume its not working properly.

Internal bleeding could be another reason

Stoner was anaemic, so it was a blood cell problem, which makes a lot more sense.

He did alright in a wet first session.
But its been the races where he has faded at about the half way mark.

Medical advice.
They say he had a virus and by pushing his body by racing he made it worse. So the suggested recovery is rest - and plenty of it.

I guess he (and Ducati) realise that without rest he cant compete with Rossi and hence this year is gone in terms of riders championship.

Hopefully he will be fully fit and fighting at the front again for the end of the season (especially the Oz round!)

Ok I suppose they can only push him so far, you have to admit asking him to ride in the condition he was in could have been terminal for him. I think he was lucky to make the end of the races

he always looks very anaemic, got some major probs me thinks. Time to get a proper check up.....but hasnt he already had lots of those, with top Dr's

Hope the guy gets back to full fitness soon, he's still in the running for the championship

He WAS in the running.

But 3 races with no points means he will virtually no hope.
He would need Rossi and Lorenzo to either have 3 very bad races or get injured and miss races themselves.

That explains his miserable attitude last year. Every time I saw him on the TV he always looked like he had the troubles of the world on his shoulders!!

He needs to lighten up a little...he's like a coiled spring, always quick to take a slight...Not even getting married seems to have helped the poor guy!

The sad thing is, I reckon that Stoner's the only one capable of taking the fight to (and beating) Rossi man to man. Jorge Lorenzo just beats himself...

Hard to argue that at the moment

He can relax now he has no bikes to ride anyway

on Stoner health/stress. And

on Jorge, he beats himself, BUT Rossi is still such a supreme talent/champion without a doubt
