I know that Honda has an incredible bike but I say alot of his success is b/c the kid is just amazing. I remember a few races where he was mixed in with the pack and just picked them of 1 or 2 at a time.
Even though he isn't with Honda anymore I still think he is one of the best I have seen |

I, for one, think Rossi has a chance at the title. And if I were picking a favorite right now, it would be him. But in reality, the field is very much level RIGHT NOW, any of a handful of riders could take the championship. I'll be rooting for the Dr. and the Tornado though |

| Re: The Wait is almost over King Kenny says he won't contend... Aparantly the RC211V is THAT good! I guess if you sit in the paddock and see how that bike comes off a corner and compare it to your own, you can know these things...
He did state that if yamaha had a new chassis, it'd be possible... |

| Re: The Wait is almost over After watching him at Phillip Island, I think Rossi would be competitive on the Zook (ok maybe not the Suzuki).
After that race he quoted it was the only time he had ridden 100% the entire race. It will be interesting to see if the Yamaha is down a bit and he has to ride 100% the entire season.

| Re: The Wait is almost over [my two cents]
Rossi will have to ride at 100% plus all season, and will crash too often to be champ.
I do think he'll win a race or two, but winning the championship will be beyond even his capabilities this year I think.
[/my two cents] |

| Re: The Wait is almost over If Rossi wins it all I won't be shocked. The M1 will get better but it may be late in the season before Rossi gets the bike up to contention. If the Honda guys are consistent, it might be too big a points gap to close. Now if Kletus wins a race on the Proton, THEN I'll be eating a lot of crow.

| Re: The Wait is almost over Rossi has already proven himself as a competitive rider, but I think it remains to be seen if he will have the same success as a development rider....there's a big difference, and it's a very exclusive fraternity....
