Eboz's Ducati Pics

Eboz was in town at Ducati Austin's open house with his bike. Did not get a chance to meet him, but here are some pics of his 999.

The 999s look so much better in race guise than they do in street form!

I don't know, man - I'd say it does compare. That description could work for either bike.

First pictures I saw really put me off (I of course love the previous generation of the SBK). Then I saw them at the show and was not put off (not in love either).

Then I went riding with one. Really the bike is poety in motion. And finally I got to see one of these in the local dealership and now I want one.

If you havn't ridden a Duc... well... you having' ridden.. (a Duc). Good or bad, it's really not like anything else.

I like the 999, but the 998, 996 has something that the 999 doesn't.

The 916-998 is one of the most beautiful bikes ever.

I think the 999 looks better with a rider on it.

Re: Eboz's Ducati Pics

Yeah like that. The mirrors and mud flap need to be taken off in my opinion. I love their sound too.

I would never buy one due to expensive up keep, but they sound great.

But I would buy the inline 4 Gp bike looking street model. Anyone know when to expect that, if at all?

It's going to be great to see Eric Bostrum on a competitive bike for a change. As for the looks. It will be a long time before anyone makes a bike as beautiful as the 916. The MV agusta comes close but not quite.

I didn't know Ducati made an inline 4.
I did see a mockup of their MotoGP bike with mirrors and lights, but I doubt they'll bring it to market - although they'd sell every one they made.

You are right. It's a V4 and it's Desmo. So.. if you are afraid of the V2 maint costs you're head will likely explode when you see a fee for twice as many valves... (I'd guess about $1800 give or take a few bucks).
