The fact that two Honda riders crashed (Bostrom on entry into the chicane, DuHamel in one of the horseshoe turns) today does not make D.I.S. an unsafe track for motorcycles. Tire failures directly linked to the insane loading and speeds achieved on the concrete wall-lined banking does put the track in an unsafe category. If simply crashing at a track is enough to classify it as unsafe, then we might as well close all the motorsports venues.
