| Rossi speaking his mind now Rossi has switched to Yamaha for the 2004 campaign but feels Honda did not give his achievements due recognition.
He told Motorcycle News: "Honda did not treat me like I deserved. It's possible they would have won without me, but the RCV was made by me.
"Honda Racing Corporation people treat you like a state employee. You can win 30 GPs and all they do is try and belittle the achievements you had." BBC Link |

| Re: Rossi speaking his mind now Rossi's the man. Having said that, I have no sympathy for guys that make more money than they can spend. The bottom line is you're only worth what you can negotiate for yourself and if he doesn't think they were paying him enough, why did he sign? *shrug* The beauty of a free market... |

| Re: Rossi speaking his mind now I think this MotoGP season should be nicknamed "Days of our MotoGP Lives" with all the soap opera drama queens lipping off.
Who's gonna be the next rider to put his skirt on backwards and then run to the media to whine about it?
Rossi sure is upping his chances of getting an F1 test drive everyday, isn't he? |

It's all about winning for Honda. If none of the current guys can get it done, you can bet your ass they'd take Rossi back.
And you can't really downplay the involvement of the rider in the development of the race bike. Doohan dominated 'cause he was an excellent development rider with the engineering might of Honda backing him up. Criville won his championship on Doohan's bike, then failed when running the bike they developed for him the next season, 'cause he wasn't a strong enough test rider. All the "improvements" to the bike the past few years were to help their champion go faster, if the 'B' riders went faster as well, that's just a side benefit.
