Spring 2006 Alpinestars Group Buy

Spring is coming, and with it the new line of riding gear from Alpinestars for 2006!

Although the focus is on their new items, the sale is good on all Alpinestars riding apparel; boots, gloves, leathers, jackets, pants, protection, under armor, etc. It is only open to current members, and ALL SALES ARE FINAL (no exchanges or returns). So be sure to TRY ON GEAR or visit alpinestars.com/sizing to get your correct sizing before you order. I can certainly answer posts to help with fitment, but I can only get so accurate sight unseen.

To provide you ample lead time to get sizing and pull together funds, we are giving prices (no posting publicly to respect MAP policies) via PM from now through 2/12. Ordering will be open from 2/12 through 2/20. If any item is not in stock, you will be notified and you may choose to reserve the item with a 20% deposit.
Perfect timing, as most of the new 2006 Alpinestars gear will hit their warehouses around the same time. Great to be the first on your block to sport the newest gear...

So take a look at http://www.alpinestars.com, post up questions here, and for prices send a PM to FB.org moderator ccwilli3 (Charlie), who is coordinating the deal for members. He will PM the price to you while I will post answers to general questions. Remember that we will charge tax for CA residents, and locals can pick up your order at the shop or have us ship it to you via UPS.

* NOTE: The Alpinestars website covers all regions. Not all items on that site are being imported into the USA for 2006. Feel free to inquire on any items if you're not sure.

1) Tech Back Protector
2) GP Tech Gloves

What's the difference between the SMX Lower Back Protector and the Orion Kidney belt?

Not sure what you mean on SMX lower back protector. That's not a listed item for 2006 from what I see. Most sportbike riders purchase the Tech or Tech Race back protector, and a few get the SMX armor "jackets". The Orion kidney belt is for MX riders.

Click on the following link.

http://www.alpinestars.com/protection/protection.html

then click on next.

You'll see SMX Lower Back Protector on the lower left hand corner. If possible, give me a price on it. If you can't find it, then nevermind. Thanks.

Re: Spring 2006 Alpinestars Group Buy

Ah. I see it. It's not on their import list into the USA which is why I didn't see a cross reference for it. That doesn't mean it will not be imported, but looking at the Parts Unlimited database, they do not show it, and it's not in anything the Alpinestars corporate rep showed me last week as due for release in the USA this spring, sorry.

SX1 is part of the 2005 line that has been discontinued. SMX, SMX2, and SX1 are all gone, sorry. The MX1 is probably the closest replacement suit.

We have the majority of their US-imported riding apparel on our website, and I'm happy to PM or post answers to questions on what's available.

Re: Spring 2006 Alpinestars Group Buy

ORDERING IS OPEN FROM NOW UNTIL END OF DAY ON 2/20....

Order using this form: http://www.calsportbike.com/order

Please be sure to enter the price you were quoted. We will add appropriate shipping charges (UPS Ground for domestic, USPS for APO/FPO and international) and sales tax (CA residents only).

We will confirm availability of each item before you are billed. If an item is on backorder or not yet in stock (new '06 stuff), you may choose to cancel/modify this item or put it on advance order with a 20% refundable deposit.

Remember that all group buy sales are final. No exchanges or returns. We will be placing the bulk order on 2/20, and most items will be shipped within 2-4 business days.

* NOTE: If you did not already hear, Alpinestars has had delays with the new MX-1 jackets and those will not be released for a couple more months. We are not taking deposits for that item as we do not yet even have an ETA.

Is it too late to get in on this? I'd like a price on an Alloy and Spinner jacket.
