HVMP Anti-vibration Heavy Bar End Weights

Hello,

I’d like to introduce our company and our products. We are HVMP Inc. We manufacture heavy stainless steel bar end weights for a variety of motorcycles, including many sport touring models such as VFR’s. ST’s, ZZR’s, CBR's and FJR’s among many other motorcycles. You can see our website at www.HVMP.com.

Let me tell you a little about our company. Hudson Valley Motorsports Parts (HVMP) was started by my brother several years ago. Not too long ago my brother found that due to other obligations he had less and less time to devote to HVMP. He had made the decision to dissolve the company. We decided that we didn’t want to see the company just disappear, so we jumped right in and purchased the company from my brother. We haven’t looked back, and although we are just selling bar ends right now, we hope to expand our product line for the future to include sport touring related accessories.

Our bar ends do a great job of damping vibrations. They are solid stainless steel, brushed to a nice satin finish, and weigh significantly more than the stock bar ends. They are all American designed and made. We are avid (when we have the time) sport-tourers and understand the value of a comfortable ride. We are currently selling bar ends in www.ex500riders.com, www.sport-touring.net and we've been reviewed in the April 2004 issue of Motorcycle Consumer News (MCN). We are a Concours Owners Group Industry Member and have sponsored various rallies in the past year. We are trying to get the word about our bar end weights to more riders.

These are the same HVMP bar ends that have been sold for a few years, and have been discussed in various forums. They are beautifully machined, competitively priced, and most importantly they work well. Most of our bar ends sell for $52-$55 plus $8.50 shipping and handling.

On our website is a “How did you hear about us?” field you can fill out when placing an order, be sure to let us know that you’ve been referred from here.

Thanks for reading this, and do not hesitate to ask us any questions through here or email us at info@hvmp.com.

Sincerely,
HVMP

Re: HVMP Anti-vibration Heavy Bar End Weights

Quinc, right now there is no special pricing. These bar ends are priced very reasonably when you consider the quality of the materials and the workmanship. Our goal was to produce an affordable alternative to some of the other pricier bar ends out there, and I think we've achieved that.

Thanks for your interest.

Re: HVMP Anti-vibration Heavy Bar End Weights

I have the short model quinc. I cannot give a great comparison for you since they've been on almost since I got the bike new and I honestly don't remember what the stock ends were like re vibration.

The HVMPs must do a good job of damping the grips cuz I really don't notice any vibration or tingling when riding. My hands don't go numb. I never even think about it. They weigh far more than the stock bar ends so that must help.

Re: HVMP Anti-vibration Heavy Bar End Weights

I just got the short model ones. Only took a 5 mile loop in the nearby twisties and they did reduce the vibes. Haven't taken them on a real ride yet though.

I am going to powder coat them black though. I don't like the look of them on the bike too much.

Oops! sorry I only just notice your post. I got the short ones, even then they have plenty of weight.

Re: HVMP Anti-vibration Heavy Bar End Weights

Went for a 200 mile ride with the short ones on my 929. They definitely made an improvement, but didn't get rid of the vibrations. What they really do is change the frequency they are vibrating.
