Re: September 2006 Specials

hmm. Now I know who to borrow stands from to change my oil .

I went by the local aprilia shop and they want a full hour of labor on top of parts for an oil change. His reasoning was that aprilias take a long time to warm up and he needed to ride my bike for a good 30 minutes. I was just looking him in the eyes trying to wrap my head around the idea that this guy wants me to pay him to ride my bike. He couldn't even keep a straight face while saying it.

Bring the bike over and we'll change the oil. I'm sending you a PM with my address.

I noticed the ads say they fit virtually any sportbike? Will they fit the CBR 929?

Re: September 2006 Specials

Hi Tim,

They don't have a master application list. When I did their sport match clip ons on my 929RR they fit right up of course. With the offset match (riser) cliip ons, you can measure pretty easily. It's a straight 1" rise. So it will take some eyeballing, but if you have enough slack in your cables and lines to sit 1" higher, you're good. If it appears it will pull your lines too tightly, then you'd want to get some extended cables. Wish I had more exact data...
