what are the sprockets made from? And what is the highest tensile strength you can get?

the rear sprocket is 7075 T6 aluminum, the rear is high quality steel, EK Chain Tensile strength: 9300 lbs. (9000 lbs. for 520MVXZ)

hmmm..... i think i want a 520 chain in gold. and the sprocket in black. stock gearing. that sounds pretty good.

wait, would going up 1 tooth in the rear make the speedo read accurate because the stock speedos are off by a little bit? Just wondering....

and yes, changing your stock gearing will change the accuracy of your speedo. to keep it correct, i believe you would need a speedo healer.

i know it will change the accuracy but i heard, or read, that the stock speedo is off by a couple % so I was thinking that it would "heal" itself. As in if the stock was off by a positive % and this would be a negative % so they would equal out. It's just me being hopeful.

do you think it's worth going up a tooth in the rear? or down one in the front? or both?

I think the 954 at 15/45 is a great combo especially with a 520 setup. My speedo was about 7% high from the factory and with this setup it is now 20% high. Odometer seems to be about 10% higher since I installed it 5,000 miles ago.
