99 Fireblade RRX stolen last night tx

My bike was stolen last night between 8p and 4a. I had it parked between 2 cars in a striped zone with a disk lock and the handlebar locked as well. Bike is all silver with a black opaque windscreen, has a full Leo Vince setup, the brake calipers are powder coated red. Here are a few pics.

Man that sucks. Hope you get it back. I am so glad I don't live in an apartment building. Those places are one-stop shopping for thieves.

Re: 99 Fireblade RRX stolen last night tx

Whelp....got a call from Mesquite PD on saturday. My bike is sitting in Dallas' auto impound with only minor damage. Right mirror is missing and they say the bike may have been hot wired. Will find out later today what happened

Re: 99 Fireblade RRX stolen last night tx

Well the entire ignition module is missing, ordered a new one on amazon hope it works. Mirrors are missing and windscreen is cracked but other than that its looks pretty good. Wasn't laid down or anything

Re: 99 Fireblade RRX stolen last night tx

I'm happy for you. I usually lock the front disc (both side) and rear with padlocks, the hardened one, chained the front wheel and another padlock. Remove the battery, turn off the carb then start the bike until the engine's dead (to make sure there's no more fuel in the carb). Sometimes it is hard to prevent our bike from getting stolen but we can slow them down and the thief will probably just give up.

You do this every time you park up the bike

Re: 99 Fireblade RRX stolen last night tx

This is why I have insurance.... and I park my bike in the garage, unless at work.
