| gone but not forgotten Someone took my 2000 RC51 w/Nicky plastics and tank. Red levers red and black grips, random stickers and fireblades.org stickers in 3 places. Solid silver wind screen, and right side Harris Racing frame slider. Gone sometime between 1:30a.m. and 7:30a.m. on saturday the 11th. Lo/Jack has been armed but no signal yet. They (lo/jack) are reimbursing me for the lo/jack and we are hoping that homeowners will at least payoff the balance owed to Honda. Wont know for a few days. Advice for new bike purchasers::: FULL COVERAGE INSURANCE, no matter the cost.  | |

| Re: gone but not forgotten Lojack needs to be able to transmit radio waves. The bike is probably inside of a building or house. And no doubt they are working to remove the system and destroy it. There are better systems than LoJack available online. You access where your vehicle is from your PC. No having to hand it over to the cops... until you find it or know where it is. The problem with all those systems is they require radio waves to work. A lot of comercial vehicles are equiped with GPS transmitters now. Steal one of those and the theif is pucked. I had my 900 stolen and i can say first hand.. it sucks. I was just fortunate enough to get it back. Most theives are stupid people anyhow so they don't use common sense. |

| Re: gone but not forgotten GPS will show you the last known position if receiver does not have a clear view of the sky. So if they put it in a van, GPS will do nothing for you but show you where you left it. |

| Re: gone but not forgotten WELL, just over 2 years later and I've discovered that the detective on my "case" was looking at the "suspect" in multiple theft and drug cases. 2 people were charged with the crime. 1 for the theft and 1 for having it. They were using it in Greenville Tx to run drugs. NICE!!! Anyway, it was going to cost 12 thousand bucks just to get it back to what it was. I not having that kind of scratch at the time, I just let the finance co. take it back. They were PISSED at the condition until they got a police report. I think they still got over 2 grand for it. I still have the entire plastics set and the seats IF anyone were to want them. Nose and tail are cracked but I think the lowers are in usable shape. The seats are good as new. My "new to me" 04 RC51 will be here sometime on monday. I'll figure out how to post pics off my iPhone and show the old and the new.
