here is a picture
I just had my 2004 Honda CBR 1000RR stolen in Jacksonville on Friday morning between 12:30 and 6:30am (11/02/2007). I was in the southside area, in particular Hodges. The complex was the Links @ Windsor park, which is a gated. The bike is almost stock, with some notable exception. - The levers are powder coated black, instead of the bright/aluminum finish.
- There is a transformers sticker on the front fairing, between the lights (Green Autobot)
- The heel guards are painted flat black.
- Right lower, Right tank, and right rear side tail fairing has damage from an accident, has some putty filled in.
- Pegs are black aluminum, not stock.
- Smoked Windshield is from hotbodies
I am offering a $1000 reward for information directly leading to the recovery of my motorcycle, no questions asked. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

| Re: Stolen: VIN JH2SC57014M000906 / 2004 Red/Black CBR 1000RR, Reward for leads. Well, no one saw anything or heard anything that night, my gf is a light sleeper and she wasn't startled by anything. I had it parked in a standard parking, and locked. It was between two other cars and there was bush hedge in front of it.
I've parked my bike there several times before, but since I live in Gainesville, I don't always leave my bike there, which also leads me to think that the thieves involved were just out scouting and did not have my particular bike in mind.
In the morning my bike was gone and another car was in its place, leading me to believe it was probably either very early in the morning ~2am, or later (about 5:30am).
The police which took my report mentioned there had been a rash of bike theft on Hodges a month or two back. But they way he spoke about it led me to believe that they had been caught.
I've been scanning Craig's list and Ebay for CBR 1000RR related auctions posted after Nov 2nd.
Again, any help is much appreciated. |

Sorry to hear about your bike. Good luck in finding those bastards |

| Re: Stolen: VIN JH2SC57014M000906 / 2004 Red/Black CBR 1000RR, Reward for leads. So sorry to hear about your loss, my 06 was stolen out of my trailer a couple days before yours in Alabama when I was down there at barber. Mom always taught me not to wish bad luck on anyone cuz It might come back to get you, but I just gotta prey those feckers cant handle a 1000 and learn a lesson.
Good luck finding it, I seriously doubt mines going to turn up, but from what the cop told me they rarely get parted out, the vin gets shaved and they become track bikes. That said Im going to have the key on me at every event I go to and there are certain things on that bike even after they make their changes Ill be able to pick out from 25 feet away. (The key was in the trailer and they found that when the stole my suit and a bunch of other stuff)
Since its the end of the season, the insurance will have settled by the time I see it again...does that mean I get to blackmail the person when I find it??? ~laffs~
OK, enough from me...everyone tripple lock up your stuff, a pad lock just doesn't cut it! |

THAT IS TRUE, LOOK OUT FOR VANS, I HAD ZX9 BEFORE I BOUGHT MY HONDA AND IT WAS STOLEN AND PUT INTO A CHEVY LUMINA VAN. A COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE IT WAS STOLEN I SAW THE GUY AND VAN,HE WAS SEEING HOW HE WAS GOING TO GET MY BIKE FROM MY FRONT DOOR AT MY APARTMENT TO HIS VAN.IT WAS ALSO LOCKED,THE NIGHT IT WAS STOLEN, A MAN IN MY APARTMENT COMPLEX SAW THE SAME VAN AND PERSON I HAD SEE A COUPLE OF DAY EARLIER AROUND 3 OCLOCK. GOOD LUCK ON FINDING YOUR BIKE. I HAVE GPS NOW AND I DARE SOMEONE TO TRY IT AGAIN! |

I was at the dealer a week ago trying to secure one of the last 06 1000RR's left around here because the price is so good on it and I cant wait or pay for the 08 (im told march they come out) Anyway, Lojack is 600.00 installed and guaranteed 24 hour recovery Im thinking im gonna do it. The insurance company wont be to happy if this happens again. I think for like 400.00 you can get it installed but you dont get the 24 hour recovery or your money back guarantee. |

| Re: Stolen: VIN JH2SC57014M000906 / 2004 Red/Black CBR 1000RR, Reward for leads. I called my insurance company and they said no discount for lojack on bikes and on cars its only 10% of comp. (this is state farm) Im just thinking it would be a good idea beacuse it seems the likely hood of this hapening to me again could be high since I go to lots of tracks with the trailer parked overnight in hotel lots.
Im assuming it does work in metal buildings, the ad for LoJack shows bikes being recovered from a u store it type storage place, so I would sure hope so.
I think the catch is you have to have it professionally installed and even you will never know where its at on your bike. can it be that small? |

Im sure you're right, like everything in this world, the fine print is what gets ppl off the hook, but for the 500.00 and the track record I think im going to do it. I just cant have this happen again. as it is im paranoid if I total it, they will at minimum drop me and possibly tell me I capped that section of my insurance or some bs.

Dont pay more then $799 LIFETIME for lojack fully installed, anything more is a rip off anything less is a good deal. |

| Re: Stolen: VIN JH2SC57014M000906 / 2004 Red/Black CBR 1000RR, Reward for leads. Not bad at all worst part is getting the lines back fed down and making sure you dont pinch em' while you are doing it, especially the vent one. If I remember right, the pump only comes out one way and U have to twist it just at the right angle for it to come out of the opening.
Good luck! |
