Re: ebay-bladefighter project

hey guys a few updates.

She's starting to look like a bike again

exhausts painted, rad back on, clocks on, ignition on, clutch, throttle bk on.

I did some work with the wiring, after discovering that pulling it through the tank was difficult on this bike, (Even after seeing everyones photo's.) I decided to go about it in another way...
Bolting the relays to the fairing bracket, then cable tieing the wiring to the bracket, its quite tidy really.
Im going to cut the old screen up and bolt it infront of the loom, like a fly-screen so you cant see the wiring.

The block connectors are yet to be hidden, but the headlight wiring is in the right place too.

Re: ebay-bladefighter project

Well im still no further with the project at the mo.
I've been looking for jobs everywhere has taken alot of time up.
I really need to get out there with an angle grinder, a saw and a soldering gun to finish the project.

Anyway I have come to the point where im thinking.
Humm should i fit lights? or get a daylight mot?

Since im having trouble picturing the headlight mountings.

All I need to know how the standard lights were fitted, send pics if you have them please.

I have some aftermarket lights but im going to have to fabricate a bracket for them, and its going to look ugly.

These are the lights I have...
Oh and the clocks from an ariel view. (from sitting on the bike you can't see the relays.

Re: ebay-bladefighter project

Have a look on german ebay and stick in Streetfighters mate, you'll find some killer lamps and stuff on there. If you pop off your tank mate and cut back the inflow pipes to your air box there is a nice big space there to cram all your wires in. It works mate!

Re: ebay-bladefighter project

yeah but you have to cut all the wires up and extend them to run things like the clocks indicators headlights horn.

I have tryed it but it didn't look right.
Dont worry im covering my current electrics up with a screen. (actually part of the fairing that ive cut up.) It will look just as good
