Front blinkers, Where'v you put 'em?

I was just struggling with 2 or 3 ideas as to where to mount my front indicators and wanted to see if anybody had any others or good examples of where to mount blinkers on the front? i dont really want them on the light unit as i have a twin spot light unit with a mini flush fairing so you can't see the bolts.... any pics/ideas would be grrrrrrrrrrrrrreat!

hmmm... Im gna try something a bit out of the ordinary, and see if it turns out good... Ive got loads of pics by the way, just need to be at a computer to post them all up!

Sideshow if anyone were to steal my idea, i would be happy for it to be you, however!.... (intreaguing pause)... I believe it will only apply to the 954... But we'll see...

I completely shaved mine off of my 1KR you don't legally have to have them in Indiana so they are gone. Just make sure you wire in a resistor so your blink speed remains the same. I figure I don't need to worry so much about the drivers in front of me knowing what I'm doing so much but still use hand signals if approaching intersection. Besides we all now blinkers on our bikes don't do much anyways, I think it's safer to stick to hand signals.

I would l0ve to go without man! but unfortunately due to living in England i would be pulled over faster than you can say tits and i would also be cut up by at least 57596537056789 granny's doing 30 on a motorway, so gotta have them really, i have the relay in too and the back ones on...

I wired up my relay and it worked fine first time, only took half hour aswell, and it was all thanks to a thread on here, by jawz0414 (cheers mate!) called CBR954rr LED Turn signal flasher relay... was easy as p1ss....

Well that was one of the options i was guna go for, but i didnt wana do the normal thing if u know what i mean? Just wanted to whack them sumwhere else, im pleased where they are thoh

Well... Hmm. I was thinking about the engine mounts (where the crash bungs would fit) but not sure how you would get it on.

Did you make a bracket for your clocks? Ive seen a few people change their parking lights (the smaller ones in the corners) for indicators, but that would only work if you were using the OEM headlamp.

What other positions had you thought of?

Yeah i made a quick bracket which bolted on under the ignition barrel, its in my thread on the build... And the only other place i could think of was mounting with rubber straps on the forks, or the usual bar ends?... I stil have to paint mine though...

Are your bar ends scratched? A lick of hammerite would sort that! You can even get bar end mirrors but not sure what good they would do.

I have seen a few intergrated into the mirrors (normal mirrors) but you would probs have to modify your switch gear.

Would the rubber straps be MOT legal? Not many more places I can think of unless you fabricate a few brackets... Oh, and if your going for LED blinkers you will have to get a LED relay (I bought a Motrax on for about 15 from BMF for the Hornet)

Forgot you still had them mounting points (was looking at pictures to see where you could put it)

I do like the HRC res band - Deff need to do something with the Can and maybe the rear plate...? I have a slightly smaller one but its still "legal" enough. (check my gallery)

Yeah i saw that in my local kawasaki dealer for a fiver?!?!? so i snapped it up pronto, and as for the plate... ive kinda been thinknig the same thing!!! and i have a scorpion can, which was posted yesterday, that i payed for on the 3rd of Feb!!

but when it gets here im sure ill be all smiles!! considering its brand new and i got it for £62

Thats a very good deal - I picked up my Micron Race Can for a little over £120 if I can recall correctly, then I just purchased the twin under tail cans (scorpions) for the Hornet for about 120-130. New is over 400!

I wonder what the Kawasaki dealer was doing with a HRC band? Hmmm.

yeah?.... hmmmm indeed, i wondered that, so i asked! and then the guy at the till showed me the big bin behind him full of reservior covers for all brands of bike!! (and there was me thinking id found something!!)
