| Customizing a 1993 fireblade to streetfighter I'm customizing a 1993 blade into a streetfighter but need to get rid of the odometer cable....any suggestions how I could replace this cable and install something digital? |

| Re: Customizing a 1993 fireblade to streetfighter Many years ago I ran a digital dash on my CB1100F.
It used a device that screwed into the end of the speedo and tach cables.
The inside of it spun generating an electrical signal.
What you want is the reverse though.
A speed sensor on the countershaft sprocket is easy but how you get that signal to operate a mechanical odometer I have no idea.

from cheap n cheerful cycle units
to an acewell or similar
all work with a magnet
I mounted mine on the brake rotor and hid the sender behind the caliper mount |

| Re: Customizing a 1993 fireblade to streetfighter I just installed a Koso on mine. Pretty simple and straight foreward. Easy to mount. I am getting a second bracket and will install it a little different. |

| Re: Customizing a 1993 fireblade to streetfighter :: KOSO NORTH AMERICA ::
I spoke to the rep at the IMS show 2 weeks ago. I was off by 10mph and he wrote my number down and has called me 3 times now making sure everything worked out.
Because of that alone, I would recommend them before anything else.
But they are a pretty neat and trick little device no matter which you choose. |
