| Streetfighter... nearly! Here is the 'blade I picked up a few days ago, electrical issues aside the motor is really sweet.
First I will show you the original colours... which aren't erm... to my tastes lol
Here it is after one evening with some sand papers and a few cans of spray/lacquer etc! (Yep, it is in my front room!!!)
The metallic grey really suits it, and I'm probably going to go for Ford Focus ST Orange for the wheels. Early days though so final touches may change.
Things to do:
1: Clean everything on the bike, frame, connectors, nuts/bolts etc
2: Finish spraying the panels and tank
3: Cut the can up, stubbies look so much nicer.
4: Polish up remaining metal/alloy stuff, subframe etc.
5: Send wheels off for powder coating
6: Then send off to the 'electrics guy' (The bike needs fresh re-wiring ideally)
7: Ride the beast

| Re: Streetfighter... nearly! Got all the plastic tray from the sub-frame removed today, I also started cleaning the back end up and removing rusty spots/blemishes. The bike was nearly going to be black, but after seeing the metallic grey, I knew it had to be in that colour.
Here's my nice new shiny rear end! |

| Re: Streetfighter... nearly! Got all my plastics finished today, the tank still needs another coat and some petrol resistant lacquer applied.
Also started removing everything to clean and de-rustify, once I get the A-Frame in the house I can remove the swing-arm and get those wheels off ready for powder coating.
Panels and undertray all ready!
Tank test! (first coat) |

| Re: Streetfighter... nearly! Nearly all done now, all I have to do is stubbify the can and send the wheels off for powder coating. Oh, and send the whole bike to the 'electric' guy to sort the wiring out, I get too stressed doing electrics on anything but PC's!
One thing that really pissed me off was how the bolts on the Micron sheared off yesterday, tried a stud remover but it blunted... so have to re-thread the exhaust and the mounting bracket now...
Piccies of it all back together ready for the last few things to be sorted, whoever had the bike before had obviously never cleaned the underneath of it - fooking filthy!
Also, a thank you to my friend Shaun is in order, he has helped me out a lot the last few days. We managed to get two weeks worth of work done in 4-5 days!
(Dunno about the face he's pulling though... ) |

| Re: Streetfighter... nearly! Got my new starter relay today, still waiting on the R/R - shouldn't be too long before it's back on the road!
Was made redundant last week aswell, good job I stashed some cash away... who needs food when you have a bike to tweak! |

Thanks, Rich | The nose cone light thingy is on eBay for around £30-40, there's also quite a few different designs for them on eBay aswell. If not, there's a few decent shops that sell streetfighter stuff on the web. |

those things are **** (IMHO)...and to be honest it detracts from the look of the bike and makes it look cheap.
sort the lights and it'll look way better mate |
