| Cabling conversion Hey guys(and gals?)
I have a 1998 900RR it already has clamp on bar risers in place of the stock clamp on bars. I am going to extend them -they are steel so I plan on welding a sleeve and raising them up to "standard riding position" or Streetfighter ( 919 or Triumph Speed triple.) My question to those who have done the street fighter conversion is what cabling to use. Is there another stock Honda part number(s) that I can just order? Custom made cables are an option I suppose but it would be nice to just buy the r&r. I see Gen Mar and a couple other companies have kits that come with their bars and have contacted them to see if they sell them separately and length etc... But if somebody here knows and can help that would be great
Thanks |

| Re: Cabling conversion .... don't know for sure but doesn't the hornet use the same cable fittings with longer cables?
on my gsxr I used the original cables & rerouted them ... the only thing I needed to buy was a longer break line

| Re: Cabling conversion I wondered about that but isn't Hornet FI? My 98 has carbs. May not matter as to cabling. Am going to check with my local mechanic as well- he's probably seen them if not worked on them. Thanks! |

| Re: Cabling conversion Hornet 919s are all FI... the CB900Fs (pre Hornets) were all carbs
The throttle cable I would assume would be different, as to brake/clutch etc I would imagine they would all be the same.
