So this is my first build on a seriously tight budget. Im a college student and just wanted something to do this summer.

I bought it for $1000 so here are some pics. I'd like some feedback on the gsxr headlight setup

I wanted to do more; full exhaust (new jets), powdercoat frame and swinger and dirtbike bars.

Ill save those for my new project; looking for a mid 90s vfr 750.

For sure, I had it about 80% done a few weeks after I got in (this was in July!!), then I went to Europe for 5 weeks, then school started again and i had just been dragging it out, hunting for a damn undertail!

SSB, on your build, what duc tail is that?

Blade is a ducati 999 race unit, Gixxer is a kwak z650

Ive just been cruising craigslist, waiting for a paycheck

I almost got a 98 F3 ex-race bike for $350!! But I was two hours late.

Im kind of intrigued by a heavy vtwin.

.... when i first put it on it looked wrong.. was good from most angles but from the rear view..... WRONG!!(made the standard rear end look far to skinny ) nearly scraped it... but now with the new wheel I think its cool*

*TBO... IMO.... it looks cooler than a shaved penquin in a perticularly bad actic winter

turned out it looks better than i imagined.... which has sorta raised the bar a bit..... i now gotta do justice to it with the rest of the build

Thats awesome though, pushing you to see new features and new potential in a bike.

Here's my current plan; sell the R6, i know i know selling bikes you 'built' and/or put heart into it is sh!tty, but i need some money.
Once sold, work a bit on my 929.
-2006 gsxr600 mirrors w/ integrated turn signals
-bondo the fairing hole where flush mount currently is
-Change the orange cluster backlight to blue
-Custom dual undertail exhaust.
-still toying with the idea of a 2006 R1 tail

Once thats done....
Build a fighter that I can keep

I guess I have til January, thats when my college tuition is due again ($2700) which is pretty much what Im hoping the R6 will yield so maybe ill get to at least rid the rear tire of that nasty chickenstrip!

The 929 is gonna stay with me for a long time.
Its such a pleasure riding it, i absolutely love it.
Just gotta give her a facelift and some basic engine maintainance (CCT, valves adjustment)

the tigers as in the urban one... makes it easier when i say to Loopy I need summut for the blade
she then dosn't have to say which one

why dont you fighter the 929?? much better base for a fighter than the heavy sluggish VFR, all you need from that is the swingarm to put on your 929.
