I was at the Ducati dealership yesterday...but didn't bring home an 848. I graduate from med school in May 2010 and the wife and I decided to wait until then to get one. We just had a baby so my wife quit work. It changed the finances a bit. I'm having a blast on the 'tard but I already miss having a street bike a little bit so I won't be without one for too long.
The 'tard is very "liberating" though because already I've discovered some great places around my house that I would have never ridden before because you get there on dirt roads. I like the fact that I don't really even have to slow down when I hit the dirt and I don't mind the bike being dirty when I get home.
Today was the first time that I've had it off road and the Avon Distanzia's were an awesome choice for being a great sticky street tire and doing very well on dirt/gravel roads.
