| Re: my crf450x supermoto I know exactly where your coming from, how about the heavy maintenance though? Lots of oil changes and valve checks I bet. Still I think they are well worth the extra TLC they require.

| Re: my crf450x supermoto I used to have two babies compared to this, a RM125 and a KX125 - both went ages ago but boy were they fun.
Shame they weren't road legal or I'll probably still have them today.

Kickstand looks much bigger on 17s than the 21/18 setup. Maintenance, change the oil and filter as much as u can stand. I have one season on it now, gotta check the valves this winter... |

| Re: my crf450x supermoto Love the Supermoto Type. If I were 20 years younger, I'd have one for sure. Even when I was in my 20s, I got hurt more on my motocross than I ever did on my streetbike. Of course you're not suppose to be crashing that bike. |

| Re: my crf450x supermoto I am considering building one. I found an 05' CRF450 for $2600, so depending on the cost of the kit, I may start this project. Did you use a "kit" or just piece it together. The wheels/tires and brakes look to be the most costly items, no? Links would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!! |

| Re: my crf450x supermoto The bike I found is the 450R. I may have to look for a 450X so it will already have an electrical system/battery for lights, signals, etc. What gearing F/R are you using? I found this for supermoto conversion kits. Epic "Supermoto Track Day" Conversion Kit Seems like a good price for all the stuff you get. |

| Re: my crf450x supermoto That kit doesnt look bad at all for the price. Keep in mind you may need a speedo , blinkers, mirrors depending on your states requirements. NY is very strict... I spent quite a bit more to get my bike to where it is, but that includes blinkers, computer/speedo, etc. I'm running the trailtech vapor and i love it. You'd be better off to get an X or something else with a lighting system ie ktm, wr, etc imo.
I pieced all mine together though, dsa dual sport kit was about 3-400, the computer was 200, i found the warp 9 wheels with powers on craigslist for 1000 with 100 miles on them. Right now i think my street gearing is 14-41 which is a hair tall for me, but i couldnt get a 42 or 43 at the time. |

that kit is a great deal for what you get and it's not junk
that would probably be the easiest most cost affective way of doing it
you could go over to the sm forum and check out classifieds alot of good info and deals or just watch ebay if your looking for an affordable and good set of wheels i would check out warp 9 for sure comes with rotors sprocket and caliper adapter
i run warp 9's on my race bike and have yet to have an issue |

| Re: my crf450x supermoto After much searching I gave in and bought am 08' Husqvarna SM510R. I love the bike but finding parts is much, much harder than getting stuff for Japanese bikes. Know any good places to shop for European Supermoto stuff? Thanks. |
