Slicks

Hello im getting a set of slicks for track days and have been told by a good source to run a 180 rear instead of my usual 190 for slicks.Im going ahead with this but wanted to know what other people think of this and has anyone done this when running slicks.Im running a gsxr750k9.Thank you for your comments and have a happy safe riding.

Re: Slicks

The 180 will let you lean quicker but you sacrifice a little stability because less rubber gets into contact with the tar than the 190. I think only the experienced racers will really be able to tell the difference

Re: Slicks

I raced a gsxr750 and never used anything but a 180, you will love it.

I've run 180 and 190 slicks with no real difference between them.
I've also run 195/70 Dunlop slicks which worked really well but I have never been able to find them again.
