SV getting ready for prime time

First trackdays are on the 19th and 20th.

The bike -
showa usd forks, new headstock bearings done
gsxr clipons and controls done
new pads, rotors, and ss lines for tokico 6-pot brakes done
1/5 turn throttle done
ohlins shock done
Pirelli SuperCorsa Pro SC2's done
New miniature battery done
Water wetter done
Motul 300V 5-40 racing oil done (at least I think it's oil, it's kind of green!)
Safety wire done
Woodcraft rearsets done
Put deceptively ugly, beat-to-**** tank and stock tail section back on... done!

The rider -
wrist surgery - done
gain 3 hp at 7 lbs per by working out at the gym and losing 21 lbs. done
learn how to ride fast..... well, I'm working on it.

Abtech, are you going to either of those track days?

This is the one on the 19th I'll be at, too. C.O.R.E. is putting on the event the following day...

Thread

edit: It looks like STT is running the C.O.R.E. event for them.

edit2: CBR...looks like you're ready to roll! See you on the 19th.

It looks remarkably similar to the avatar, Bake!.. But the big fork tubes and brake rotors are definitely a change. Where's the pics of the VFR800RR??

I worked so hard on that bike that I was surprised to find I am starting to care about how it looks...I took the lower inner fender off to make it easier to get to the exhaust, and left it off because I can see the shock better now.. does that make me a shallow person? I might browse around for a less alarming-looking tank, too.

By the way, the issue of clipon interference with the tank is gone now.

HG2 and Phobe, thanks for the encouragement on the weight.. there's still a few HP left "in reserve," if you know what I mean.

Re: SV getting ready for prime time

I lost 1 horsepower.

Had a fitness evaluation tonight and found out that in 6 months I've lost 4 pounds of fat and gained 10 pounds of lean body mass. I've been watching my weight creep up slowly and I was worried that I was getting fatter, so it's a huge relief. But I'll be slower.

Got a much better looking tank for $100, so I'll post some pics when I get back from COTU.

I'll be there on the 19th, with my SV650 and the RC51 just in case I don't have the SV650 running right.

I think my wife is coming to take photo's.

Oh my SV is red with yellow plates full race bodywork has R6 air intake on the front. (don't ask it was cheap)

Cool, I'll get to meet a couple more .orgers.

The RC51 is ready (as it will get), but might be last minute getting the race hawk together.

Not that hard, actually..

I'll be going out with new suspension, new tires, new brakes, etc.etc. I'll be taking it SLOW for a while. Not that fond of hospital food.

I'm hoping to get the sag set before I go out.. Red Rider, can you help with that?

I had hoped to make a last minute run, but I had surgery on my right hand earlier this month and it doesn't look like it will be healed enough to make the cut by Friday. I don't want to have to do it again and take a chance on missing Fireblades.org Days @ Grattan next month.

Sorry
