SV racers - which damper?

I've liked the Scotts on my 954, but I'm leaning toward trying a piston-type for this one.

If I'm running a GSXR front end, how do I source it? Is the bolt pattern/dimension on the tank of the SV the same as a GSXR?

Is there a favored brand other than Ohlins? How about Matris?

I want to get this installed before FBo days, so chime in, please.

Re: SV racers - which damper?

Try checking around on the WERA board. Lots of SV owners there...

Re: SV racers - which damper?

I've had Ohlins (RC51), Matris (900RR) and now Scotts (SV650) and they have all worked fine. I was going to buy an Ohlins for the SV but couldn't get one in time, so went ahead and got the Scotts. Though I don't like the fact that you have to remove it to lift the tank (important if running supersport because you have to show tech you haven't messed with the airbox), it's worked just fine.

Re: SV racers - which damper?

Check out the new pitbull ones they have a hinge so you can lift the tank.

Also depending on the year the Gsxr triple clamp might have a mount location on the lower clamp, as they came stock on newer models.
