| 2006 GSXR 600 rpm problems I have a 06 600 with 500 miles that I just set up for the track. When I am going down the straights the bike will not go over 9,000 RPM's, and it seems the bike is starving for fuel, but still is very responsive in lower RPM's. I had done basic race prep items to the bike, but nothing real major. Let me know of any ideas. Thanks |

This will lower the rev limiter to protect it from redlining when not in gear. (looks like Suzuki read Stegan's post )
What did you do to it to track prep it?
I have a almost track preped 750 so it is very similar.

Purp | Interesting about lowering the rev limiter. On the RC it kills the ignition circuit. I guess a total no start condition would be easier to trace than a curious "won't rev past x000 rpm . . ." situation. |

| Re: 2006 GSXR 600 rpm problems If you have a Power Commander there is a special procedure that the tured must follow. Make sure they request this from Dynojet before they tune your bike. If you downloaded a map from the net it may also cause you problems.
The problem has to do with the PC3 overloading the lower injectors at high RPMs causeing them to shut on and off. This also could create the problem you are getting. For this try loading a zero map and see if the problem still exist. |

What most people are doing is just running those two line from the main harness to the clutch. An alternative is to mount a switch that you manually turn on to start them off to get full RPMs. |

Purp | I did disconnect the clutch switch along with the kickstand switch. I closed the circuit on the kickstand switch but did not do anything with the clutch because it started up without pulling in the clutch. I will try reconnecting the wire and see if that is the problem. Thanks for the help. |
