Problem with secondary throttle position sensor

Well halfway through the 3rd session at Barber the bike starts running like crap in the straights. It had about half the power it usually does and when turning the throttle full open the bike would just fall on its face.

I had no FI error, but after disconecting the power commander and checking for other problems, a nice guy at the track lent me his spare ECU to see if that was the issue. When we swapped ECU's the bike still ran like crap but now it had an FI light. We scanned it and it came up as a C30 :secondary throttle position sensor.

Anyone else ever have this issue. I guess I should just replace that sensor . I really hope this solves my problem as I have another track day coming up.

As of now the bike in nuetral would not rev past 5 grand when I gave it WOT. Seems like it is getting worse.

Re: Problem with secondary throttle position sensor

Cmon if this was a honda I would be getting all sorts of advice. (although it probably wouldn't break either)

Anyone know if removing the secondary butterflies will fix the problem for now?

Re: Problem with secondary throttle position sensor

I realize the last post was years ago. but to add to those who have fuel injected bikes.... the throttle positioning sensor can get jarred from its location set by the factory and throw the FI light into crazyness... I came down decently hard on a wheelie and my FI light came on. it wouldnt let the secondaries open. so i took the tank off and replaced the TPS was an EASY fix... however i broke mine in the process so it made it a little trickier. hint ebay... i finally got my 06 zx6 running after a new tps and a lot of time in adjustments.
