well I was going to ride her today...

...until I noticed she was leaking coolant. Not a whole lot, but there's a little bit of coolant leaking from the right side of the bike. it made a puddle about 3" in diameter on my concrete floor of my garage. I wouldnt have even noticed if I didnt have the plastics off(the left side was cracked when I got the bike, some bozo dropped it off the kickstand in a parking lot, I've yet to repaint it).

Anyways, I couldnt locate the leak, so I didnt ride it today, but I know it's coming from the right side of the bike, dripping from somewhere between the radiator and the engine.

and for clarification, it's a 2005 GSX-R 600, with a little over 2500 miles on the clock.

so, anyone got any advice/bad news to tell me?

1. Tighten every hose clamp you can find.
2. Top off coolant if necessary.
3. Go ride.
4. Park it overnight and look for coolant on the floor in the morning.

If no new floor drips, forget about it, you fixed it.

If new floor drips, sell it and get a Honda.

Seriously, chances are a slightly loose hose clamp. A 3" drip is nothing more than a few drops of coolant. I don't think your bike is old enough to have serious problems like a cracked radiator or water pump seals gone bad...yet!

You also may want to watch it as you fill it. The radiator that is. Ensure one of the vanes didn't get split with something. When you start it, let it come up to temp (thermostat open), check for leaks first before you leave.

Last thing you want is any anti-freeze getting on the rear tire. Not good, not good at all.
