My Suzuki DRZ400E

My current ride the 95 DRZ400E I have had since new. It's been a great bike with the only problem being the battery which I had to replace. If I had a gripe with this model it would be the lack of a kickstart option which straight out sucks when you have a dead battery. These things don't bump start that easily.

It's very standard, I've added some low bend Renthal bars & some funky yellow grips & barkbusters, Polosport headlight because the standard setup was every bit as ugly as it was heavy, I removed the standard tail ight assembly and other "road" going bits and stashed them in the roof of my house. Tyres were next I fitted decent motocross tyres because we ride a lot of sand. I put in a twin air because the stock air cleaner fell to bits after just 2 cleans. I cut some big wads of plastic out of the air cleaner box to help the air flow and left the standard pipe in place with the restrictor taken out (it's far too loud like this)

The suspension is pretty much out of the crate standard I just bumped up the compression slightly to firm it up. So with these basic mods it rides very well on the trail, its a bit on the heavy side compared to the new generation of 4 strokes but the advantage is that I just hose her down and throw her in the shed when I'm done, they don't require much TLC.

Re: My Suzuki DRZ400E

The stand can be had from just about any dirt bike shop, that one is not that stable and with the DRZ it's at maximum weight I am guessing. There are better options on the market if your planning on starting the bike and running it on a stand. Dirt or road and how short is short?
