Katana 750 Fuse Blowing

Everytime I either hit the kill switch or turn the key to the off position the main fuse blows. NOTE... It only does this after I ride it for a little while. If I warm it up and immediatly turn the key off or use the kill switch it wont blow..... Have any ideas for this?

Re: Katana 750 Fuse Blowing

Ah the mysteries of the Kan-a-tuna. I had a problem with my old when that when I went on long rides, a wire bundle that had wandered where it shouldnt have, would heat up and I would lose power to my dash/lamps etc. You may want to check your wire harnesses for any melty spots or obvious damage if you havnt already. Beyound that, I would guess a bad short in the ignition circuit being induced by heat?

Re: Katana 750 Fuse Blowing

I found the problem. It's the voltage regulator. It's not working correctly so It's tring to push 16 volts thru that main fuse and the electrical system. I have another one ordered so I should be good to go once I get that new part in. Thanks for your help. Oh and by the way I like the "Kan-a-tuna" LOL
