| Re: Suzuki 2008 GSXR 1300 Hayabusa Photos & Specifications I think it has a sort of cult following - does look a bit like it could go just as fast backwards as it does forwards though |

| Re: Suzuki 2008 GSXR 1300 Hayabusa Photos & Specifications Actually, the '08 Busa is 1,340 cc. More important than the horsepower (it's making 174 at the rear wheel, bone stock), is the fact that it makes over 100 foot-pounds of torque at the rear wheel, and it makes that torque at a lot lower rpm than a liter bike. Most liter bikes make about 75 to 80 foot-pounds of torque at the rear wheel (at 8,700 to 9,700 rpm). The '08 Hayabusa makes almost 90 foot-pounds of torque at the rear wheel at 4,000 rpm! The Hayabusa is making its maximum torque at about 3,000 rpm less than the average liter bike, which makes it a lot more fun to ride on the street. I was going to buy an '08 liter bike until I rode the '08 Busa. It made a believer out of me. I know it's big and heavy, but it is a blast to ride, handles well, and is comfortable to boot. The looks will grow on you. Don't knock it if you haven't ridden one. Quote:

| Re: Suzuki 2008 GSXR 1300 Hayabusa Photos & Specifications I've ridden a ZX 14 and they're great. if the busa is any better it should be amazing. knowing suzukis rep it should be the fastest hardest pulling bike out and yes these monster bikes do handle like sport bikes unless youre the type that likes to knee drag.
right now there is a dealership in Rocky Mount that still has some 07 busas going for under 10,000. if your in the market for a busa you know that it seems like people want the money that they paid for their bike new even though its 3 or 4 years old with a lot of miles. so this is a pretty good deal. I found their add on cycle trader.com |

| Re: Suzuki 2008 GSXR 1300 Hayabusa Photos & Specifications The '07 'Busa is a great bike. However, with a full Yoshi exhaust system and a Power Commander, the '08 Busa makes 183 hp at the rear wheel, and loses 35 pounds. And it sounds fantastic. Quote:

| Re: Suzuki 2008 GSXR 1300 Hayabusa Photos & Specifications I thought the 08 Hayabusa was a 1500. I saw one yesterday on my way to work. He only had it for 2 weeks so far. |

| Re: Suzuki 2008 GSXR 1300 Hayabusa Photos & Specifications IMHO it's not nearly as ugly as the pure sport bikes. They all look like they have overload springs on the back. Quote:
