I still think the 750 is a good bridge between 600 and the 1000cc bikes, I'm not sure of the sales volumes on the 750 but they keep making them so they must be selling them. Compare to the GSXR 600

I think that is the case. I bought a 2006 Gsxr 750 and the sticker was 10k and I payed $8700. Its all how bad you fight em.

I love the bike. It makes you feel very confident in corners. very fast. I have kept up with every 1000 I have ever raced strait line and in the hills. Its a great bike. I take it to my dads house in TN. a couple of times a year.

I have the 07 gsxr 1000 rode a 750 and thought the ride was better

As a '06 GSXR 750 owner, the bike is more closely compared to the 1000. The bike will laugh at any 600.

I initially went after a GSXR-750 but got a better deal on the blade. Suzuki maintains they ran everyone out of the 750 class.

The average European is paying a sales tax of 17-19.5% that is included in the price. The US prices don't include tax (by law it can not be stated in the price but charged at check out) which is 4-7.5% depending of the state.

Also for the Japanese bikes in order for Europeans and Japanese manufacturers not to cut each other's throats they try to stabilize prices despite of currency changes. If in 2001 a Ducati would cost X in the US that same price would have been 1.6*X now + increase in price it would be nearly double or more. The Japanese bike would have been still X, while in Europe it would be cheaper as the yen has fallen against the Euro. They may loose some here and make some more there and vice versa trying to maintain their market shares without cutting each other's throat in every opportunity they get.

My brothers EX GIRLFRIEND just bought the orange and black 750 yesterday morning. She paid a lil over 11,000 for it plus the interest. She's lookin at, what, 13,500 when all said and done. She's only 19 years old payin that much for something you can ride for 4 to 5 months outta the year. (We ride when its 35 above.) That's just nuts. I say wait a year and that same bike with 1000 miles on it will be up for sale somewhere for 8750. Some peoples kids, I tell ya!!
