2008 Suzuki GSXR 600

2008 GSX-R600

Quote:
Introducing the 2008 Suzuki GSX-R600. It is the GSX-R of the middleweight class, a product of Suzuki's legendary Integrated Design approach. A machine designed and refined by a team of talented engineers working together to build a motorcycle that delivers Balanced Performance. A revised, compact combination of chassis and engine, fitted with advanced electronics, effective suspension and radial-mount brakes to not only make more power and accelerate harder but also to handle better, with the goal being a quicker lap time around a racetrack. Packaged with exciting new styling and increased lighting and aerodynamics. Ignore the lights and mirrors and the fact that this is also the cleanest-running four-cylinder 600cc motorcycle that Suzuki has ever built, and it's easy to imagine the GSX-R600 rolling directly out of a race shop.

MSRP on an '08 600RR is $9599. Makes the Suzuki look like a bargain, except that it is ugly. I hate the overall lines and the tank and tail both look way over stylized.

$9599 makes me really appreciate walking out the door in '03 with a brand new 954 for $8520 (Tax, Title, Destination charges and all).

Now think about this......That 600 is CLOSE to the HP ratings of the 954 and the 929 with major upgrades.

Re: 2008 GSXR 600 Photos & Specifications

Probably in the higher RPM range. I had a GSXR 600 track bike and it had the same HP as the 929 but you had to keep the revs high. THe torque in the low RPM's wasn't even close. I prefer the bigger bore bike for the street as I am never going to wind up the bike to 10k RPM on the street, and I want to feel some sense of power.
