Running real poorly

Hi, I am new to the boards. I have a 94 GSXR that I tried to do a simple at home plug change. Well everything was going well until I pulled the spark-plug boot away from the wire. I went to a local bike shop and bought a new plug coil. Well after I installed the new plug cover the bike has ran like SH**. It feels like the bike does not want to pull itself, cuts out, and sometimes backfires. I am sure it has something to do with the boot coming away from the wire but I thought that fix the issue when I bought the new cover. Has anybody else delt with the issue before? What did you do to correct the problem?

check your vacuum tubes, its easy to leave one off or switch them during a plug change, otherwise you can always pull the pugs and check for fire manually

I dont remember pulling vacuum lines when I pulled the plugs. The part that I bought from the local bike shop is a plug that has a self tapping scrrew that cut part of the wire away and thread the plug boot on. Is this an effective way to correct the problem I created?

replacing a coil or the whole coil wire would be better, i dont think ive seen anything like what youre describing
