Front brake problem

Ok I have replaced brakes many times before and now i am having trouble on my 05 gsxr 600. I bought the bike wrecked and i am fixing it up. When i bought the bike the front brakes had to be pumped for them to work. I tried bleeding the lines and that did not fix the problem. I took everything apart and took it off. Ive replaced the calipers and the master cylinder and even got a mity vac and speedbleeders. After reinstalling everything and bleeding the lines. I still have no pressure on the lever at all. Everything is connected correctly. Is there something i should try or do differently. When the lever is pulled back the caliper pistons barely move. Im thinking that i am not bleeding correctly. If that is the case Could someone explain a way of bleeding correctly. Ive done this many times but it just wont work now. Any help will be appreciated.

i believe it has a radial master cylinder right? did you check if it has a bleeding nipple on the master cylinder?

Re: Front brake problem

It does have a bleeding nipple. Ive already bled the master cylinder as well. I dont know what else to do. There is no pressure on the lever no matter how much i bleed it. Even if i where bleeding correctly there would be some pressure right? Its like the calipers wont close.

Re: Front brake problem

Sounds like a prob with the calipers or either somethin blockin the lines. The problem just sounds wierd as hell. You should be getin some action if youre doin it right.

Re: Front brake problem

i have two sets of calipers and the other ones didn't work either. Fluid flows in a stead stream everywhere. There is just no pressure.

Re: Front brake problem

All, I have the same exact problem on my 1980 Goldwing. I purchased all new stainless brake lines and a whole new modern master cylinder brake assembly from Ebay. Installed and bled the system throughly but still no brakes!

The manual says to put a small block behind the brake lever when bleeding. I didn't do this, could that be the prob???? If so, what is the easiest way to fix.

I need to get this fixed so I can get back on the saddle and cruise!
