| 2008 Suzuki B-King Photos and Specifications From concept to reality.. Described by Suzuki themselves as the Hayabusa’s rowdy alter ego, the new B-King is an outrageously styled bike with attitude, which shouts ‘Don’t mess with me..’ The new 1340cc engine, a slightly modified Hayabusa block, delivers 180+bhp at 9,500rpm and should take you to a breathtaking 165mph if the desire or situation arises. The bike is fitted with Suzuki’s Drive Mode Selector, enabling the rider to choose engine settings to suit either their preferences or the road conditions, although it is not expected that many riders will use the second setting and reduce the power of the bike. Even the 4/2/1 exhaust system is styled to suit the aggressive appearance of the bike. Stringent EuroIII and Tier II regulations are met with the use of a catalyser and oxygen sensors, and optimum exhaust efficiency is achieved with the addition of Suzuki’s ETV (Exhaust Tuning Valve) in the mid-pipe. The bike has an all new high-tech chassis, a twin-spar cast frame and swingarm, which combined with fully adjustable suspension, both front and rear, gives the rider a precise, stable and responsive riding experience at all speeds. The bike even comes with a steering damper fitted as standard. Front braking comes from the newly designed callipers and 310mm discs, while the rear brake has a 260mm disc and a lightweight calliper. The three spoke wheels are fitted with high performance radial tyres, the size of the rear one an immense 200mm. The wide tank and headlight surround create the same aerodynamic effect as a small fairing, which means you can ride at speed without feeling you are about to be blown off. This aggressive styling, while not to everyone’s taste, screams ‘notice me’.. Moreover, the naked engine, the unique twin exhaust pipes give a hint of the power contained within and the promise of a unique riding experience.
